During an indignation rally in Cebu City on Saturday, February 22, 2025, Duterte accused President Ferdinand “Bongbong” Marcos Jr. of moving toward dictatorship and suggested he might not step down by 2028.

The former president urged the AFP and the Philippine National Police to take appropriate action to prevent the Marcos Jr. administration from leading the country into dictatorship.

AFP Spokesperson Col. Francel Padilla reaffirmed that the military will never betray the trust given to them by the public.

Padilla expressed confidence that every AFP member will uphold professionalism and fulfill their sworn duties.
