The Pasig Regional Trial Court Branch 159 has ordered the camp of detained Kingdom of Jesus Christ (KOJC) founder Pastor Apollo Quiboloy to explain the release of his recorded message during the Partido Demokratiko Pilipino (PDP) proclamation rally.

The video was played on February 9 at the Ynares Sports Arena in Pasig City before the court could review and approve it, according to a two-page court order dated February 12.

The court also noted that the video was posted on Facebook on February 10 without authorization, which it deemed a clear violation of its established guidelines and parameters.

Quiboloy’s camp was given five days to provide an explanation regarding the matter.

His lawyer, Atty. Israelito Torreon, previously stated in a Tuesday press briefing that Quiboloy was allowed to release his recorded message for his senatorial campaign during the proclamation rally, amid accusations of VIP treatment.

Quiboloy is currently facing a non-bailable qualified human trafficking charge in the Pasig court, along with child abuse and sexual abuse cases in the Quezon City Regional Trial Court.
