Fire in Barangay Pag-asa, Quezon City Raised to Third Alarm

Fire in Barangay Pag-asa, Quezon City, escalated to the third alarm on Sunday, February 16, according to the Bureau of Fire Protection (BFP).

Authorities have yet to determine the number of residents left homeless after the fire broke out in front of the BFP office.

The blaze rapidly spread through a residential unit at around 2 p.m. despite ongoing rainfall.

Residents were forced to evacuate, with some forming a bucket brigade in an attempt to control the flames.

A section of North Avenue was temporarily closed to provide firefighters with an unobstructed path.

Authorities confirmed that the fire was extinguished within an hour, with no reported injuries or casualties at this time.

The BFP and local officials are conducting an investigation and coordinating assistance for families affected by the incident.
