The new remix features Felip’s signature deep vocals and distinct rap delivery, combined with thủy’s sultry voice.

“We’re incredibly grateful to have Felip and thủy on this remix. I think we all brought our unique flavors and styles, blending them in a way that uncovered a whole new dimension of ‘KAWASAKI’. The contrast between Felip’s deep, resonant tone and my sharp, piercing sound created an exciting synergy, adding so much depth to the track. thủy’s verse took ‘KAWASAKI’ into uncharted territory, introducing vocals that elevated the song beautifully. We can’t wait to hear what the fans think of this amazing remix,” NEO of ONE OR EIGHT shares.

The original performance video for “KAWASAKI” was a hit, surpassing 10 million views on YouTube in less than a week. The track continued its popularity, being released into a series of remixes featuring six-time GRAMMY-nominated rapper Big Sean and Korean-American rapper pH-1.

ONE OR EIGHT is an eight-member boy group featuring Japanese members MIZUKI, NEO, REIA, RYOTA, SOUMA, TAKERU, TSUBASA, and YUGA. With the tagline “BET ON YOURSELF”, they are set to make their mark on the world as a group of friends with big dreams. They infuse hip-hop and pop effortlessly and epitomize Japanese culture through their choreography, lyrics, and streetwear aesthetic.

Felip, also known as Ken, is a vocalist and dancer of P-pop Kings SB19. He debuted solo in late 2021 with “Palayo”, and his music gained local and international recognition.

In 2023, FELIP dropped his hit single “ROCKSTA”, which gained over 1M Spotify streams and 400K YouTube views in just over a month. He launched his EP ‘COM·PLEX’ in February 2023, with two tracks from the EP debuting on Spotify’s Viral 50 Philippines.

In 2024, FELIP released “Fake Faces”, co-written with Grammy-nominated songwriter Seann Bowe (Wiz Khalifa, All That Remains, The Veronicas) and produced by internationally-acclaimed Hyuk Shin of 153/Joombas Music Group. He followed this with his album ‘7-Sins’, which he launched with an album concert in July.

Meanwhile, Vietnamese-American singer-songwriter, thủy, is setting herself apart in today’s pop R&B scene. Raised with a rich Vietnamese heritage, thủy grew up inspired by early 2000s pop and R&B idols like Britney Spears, Brandy, and Mariah Carey. 2023 proved to be a life-changing, reaffirming year for thủy – her song “girls like me don’t cry” became a viral phenomenon, propelling her into global stardom. The single amassed over 10M TikTok UGC videos, 3+ billion views on YouTube Shorts and 30+ million views on YouTube. The track became a cultural lexicon and was named one of the Top 10 Global Songs on TikTok in 2023.
