Armed Men Storm Home in Pikit, Kill Husband, Critically Wound Wife

Armed men stormed a home in Pikit, North Cotabato, killing a husband and critically wounding his wife in a brutal midnight attack.

The victims were identified as Johari Santi, 28, and his wife Bai Santi, both residents of Sitio Pendulunan, Barangay Dalingaoen.

According to reports, the couple was asleep when seven armed men broke into their house and fired indiscriminately at them.

Johari managed to return fire but was severely wounded after the assailants threw a hand grenade at him.

After the attack, the suspects quickly fled towards the western part of the barangay.

The couple sustained multiple gunshot wounds across their bodies, resulting in Johari’s immediate death.

Bai was rushed to the hospital but was declared dead on arrival.

Authorities are investigating the motive behind the attack and working to identify the perpetrators.
