6ID Honors Outstanding and Wounded Troopers for Excellence and Gallantry

6ID honors outstanding troopers and wounded personnel for their dedication and bravery during a flag-raising ceremony at Camp Siongco, Awang, Datu Odin Sinsuat, Maguindanao del Norte, on February 10, 2025.

Brigadier General Donald Gumiran, Commander of the 6th Infantry Division and Joint Task Force Central, led the ceremony, with Colonel Glenn Loreto Caballero, Acting Chief of Staff, assisting. Officers, enlisted personnel, and civilian human resources of the Command were in attendance.

Eight Kampilan Troopers received gold, silver, and bronze cross medals, while two enlisted personnel were given plaques of recognition.

Technical Sergeant Phil Christy Paculio was honored for graduating as the top student of the Philippine Army Sergeant Major Course Class 15-2024, achieving a general average of 94.22% and a perfect 100% in the Philippine Army Warrior Fitness Test.

Staff Sergeant Ronnel Baula was recognized for attaining a perfect general average of 100% in all events of the Physical Fitness Test during the Restructured Reenlistment System Training of Classes 336-2025.

Brig. Gen. Gumiran commended the awardees for their professionalism and commitment, urging all Kampilan Troopers and civilian personnel to strive for excellence in every task. “Let these awards serve as a testament to your hard work and dedication. May they also inspire you and your fellow troopers to strive for excellence in every mission entrusted to us,” he stated.

Following the ceremony, Brig. Gen. Gumiran visited the Camp Siongco Station Hospital, 6ID, to award Wounded Personnel Medals to Corporal Henry Dayota and Private First Class Marjune Hojilia, recognizing their gallantry and sacrifice in the line of duty.

The event reaffirmed the 6th Infantry Division’s unwavering commitment to honoring and supporting its personnel as they face the challenges of military service.
