The vote took place on the final session day of Congress.

The complaint was immediately transmitted to the Senate for an impeachment trial.

However, Senate President Francis “Chiz” Escudero stated that the trial might not begin until June.

In response, VP Duterte issued a brief but strong statement: “God save the Philippines.”

She expressed concern over the state of the country, claiming that government officials are abusing their power.

Duterte also denied allegations that she threatened President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr., First Lady Liza Marcos, or House Speaker Martin Romualdez, stating that only House members were making such claims.
