Illegal Drugs and Firearm Seized in Kidapawan City Police Raid

Authorities confiscated illegal drugs worth ₱34,000 and an unlicensed firearm during a police operation in Barangay Nuangan, Kidapawan City, Cotabato, on February 6, 2025.

According to the Kidapawan City Police Station, officers executed a search warrant at 12:57 a.m. at the residence of the suspect, identified only as “Ian,” a 30-year-old married resident.

Seized from the suspect were five grams of illegal drugs, a .45 caliber pistol, two magazines, four live bullets, and two spent shells.

The suspect is now facing charges for violating Republic Act 9165, also known as the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002, and Republic Act 10591, the Comprehensive Firearms and Ammunition Regulation Act.
