4 Confirmed Dead as Private Plane Crashes in Maguindanao del Sur

A private plane crash in Maguindanao del Sur claimed the lives of four people on Wednesday afternoon, authorities confirmed.

The aircraft went down in Sitio Malatimon, Ampatuan, around 2 PM, according to the Ampatuan Municipal Police Station (MPS).

Initial investigations revealed that two of the victims were foreign nationals.

Authorities described the crash as “brutal,” with reports suggesting that some passengers may have jumped from the aircraft before impact.

No residents were harmed in the incident, but a carabao sustained severe injuries, with its snout torn off due to the crash’s impact.

Investigators are still determining the cause of the accident, as it remains unclear what issues the aircraft encountered before it went down.

Recovery operations are ongoing to retrieve all parts of the plane and confirm the identities of the victims.
