VP Duterte further stressed that the Philippines must maintain good relations with its neighboring countries while ensuring national security, territorial integrity, and the interests of its citizens.

She reiterated that the West Philippine Sea is rightfully part of the Philippines, as affirmed by the United Nations Convention on the Law of the Sea (UNCLOS) and the 2016 Arbitral Award.
