Filipinos Advised to Take Precautions Amid Rising Influenza Cases in Japan

THE Philippine Embassy in Japan has issued a warning to Filipinos residing in or traveling to Japan due to the increasing number of influenza cases in the country.

In an advisory released on Wednesday, the embassy urged Filipinos to take extra precautions to protect themselves from the flu.

Filipino tourists planning to visit Japan were also encouraged to secure travel insurance to cover potential medical emergencies.

“Due to the rise in influenza cases in Japan, we urge our fellow Filipinos to take extra care,” the embassy stated. “We also advise those traveling to Japan to obtain travel insurance in case of unforeseen medical needs.”

The advisory recommended wearing face masks, particularly in crowded places and public transportation, to minimize the risk of infection.

Filipinos were also encouraged to stay updated with public health advisories and to remain at home if feeling unwell or experiencing flu symptoms.
