Tricycle Driver Dies After Collision with Motorcycle

A tricycle driver died after a collision with a motorcycle in Barangay 7 San Miguel, San Nicolas.

According to P/Capt. Randy Damo, Chief of the San Nicolas Municipal Police Station, the victim was identified as Rodrigo Asuncion, 59, married, and a resident of the said barangay.

The motorcycle involved was a Yamaha NMAX driven by Marck Angelo Arcaperlas, 27, married, and a resident of Sitio Vicencio, Taleb, Bantay, Ilocos Sur.

Based on their investigation, the tricycle was heading west when it suddenly made a left turn to enter a gasoline station, leading to the collision with the motorcycle.

As a result, the tricycle driver was immediately rushed to Black Nazarene Hospital in San Nicolas but was declared dead on arrival by attending physician Dr. James Patrick Peralta.

Meanwhile, the motorcycle driver was taken to Mariano Marcos Memorial Hospital and Medical Center in Batac City after sustaining injuries in various parts of his body.
