The Movie and Television Review and Classification Board (MTRCB) has denied claims that the Pepsi Paloma movie is currently under review, citing incomplete requirements from the distributor.
According to the MTRCB, its Registration Unit could not process the submission from PinoyFlix Films and Entertainment Production because the distributor failed to provide three required documents.
The missing requirements include a Certificate or Clearance of No Pending Criminal, Civil, or Administrative Case from the Regional Trial Court, the Department of Justice, and the Office of the City Prosecutor.
The MTRCB’s Legal Affairs Division has formally communicated with PinoyFlix to ensure compliance with Presidential Decree No. 1986 and its Implementing Rules and Regulations (IRR).
The agency reiterated that all film applications undergo a strict review process, with each submission evaluated by a committee of three board members, and if necessary, a second review by a five-member panel.
MTRCB also emphasized that any misinformation or false narratives seeking to discredit the agency and undermine its mandate will not be tolerated and will be dealt with according to the law.
