Motorcycle Rider Drowns After Falling Into Irrigation Canal

The Luna Police Station has issued a reminder to motorists to exercise caution when driving motorcycles following the tragic death of a rider due to drowning.

According to a report received by Bombo Radyo Cauayan, the Luna Police Station was informed about the discovery of a man’s body in an irrigation canal.

The victim was identified as Nestor De Vera, a 25-year-old resident of Reina Mercedes, Isabela.

Police investigations revealed that De Vera was riding his motorcycle along Purok 1, Barangay Dadap in Luna, Isabela when he lost control of his vehicle and fell into the irrigation canal beside the road.

De Vera was declared dead upon arrival at the hospital, while his motorcycle sustained undetermined damage.

Authorities continue to remind riders to prioritize safety, especially when navigating challenging road conditions.
