Woman Dies After Stabbing Incident Involving Former Husband

An estranged husband is facing a parricide charge after fatally stabbing his ex-wife in San Pablo, Alicia, Isabela.

The victim, a 48-year-old woman and resident of San Pablo, sustained seven stab wounds during the incident.

The suspect, her former husband, is a farmer and also a resident of the same barangay.

According to Plt. Gretel Mallillin, Deputy Chief of Police of the Alicia Police Station, the couple had separated last year.

Police investigations revealed that the suspect visited the victim’s house, where a heated argument broke out, leading to the stabbing incident.

The suspect initially attempted to flee but was later apprehended by authorities.

The victim was rushed to the hospital but was declared dead due to multiple stab wounds.

Currently, the suspect is detained at the Alicia Police Station lock-up cell while a parricide charge is being prepared against him.
