British National Found Dead in Hotel Bathroom

A British national was found lifeless inside the bathroom of a hotel in Poblacion 1, Adams, Ilocos Norte, authorities reported.

The victim, identified as Gordon John Baker, 66, was married and a resident of Adams.

According to the Adams Municipal Police Station, the victim’s wife grew concerned when she could not locate him and was shocked to find him unresponsive in the bathroom.

Police Capt. Aimee Laggui, chief of the Adams Police, stated that no foul play was detected in Baker’s death.

Investigators determined that Baker had been dead for four to five hours before being discovered by his wife.

Dr. Bielmaju Walley Bawingan, a former physician with the Adams Rural Health Unit, confirmed through medical examination that the cause of death was a heart attack.

Relatives of the deceased are expected to arrive in the Philippines soon to pay their final respects.
