The northeast monsoon, or “Amihan,” has intensified, bringing cooler and windy weather conditions to Metro Manila and eastern parts of Northern and Central Luzon.
Cloudy skies with intermittent light rain are being experienced in Cagayan Valley, the Cordillera Administrative Region, and Aurora.
Metro Manila, the Ilocos Region, and other parts of Central Luzon are also seeing partly cloudy to overcast skies, cooler temperatures, and occasional light rain.
The surge of Amihan is expected to strengthen further in the coming days, according to weather forecasts.
Meanwhile, the shear line continues to affect the eastern parts of Southern Luzon, causing cloudy conditions with light to occasional heavy rain in Quezon.
Most other areas of the country are experiencing fair weather, with localized thunderstorms as the primary weather disturbance.
No new tropical cyclones are expected to directly impact the Philippines until the weekend.
