Filipinos Show Strong Trust, Willingness to Fight for Country Alongside Philippine Army – OCTA Survey

The Philippine Army received a +75% net trust rating and a +76% net satisfaction rating in a recent OCTA Research survey for the fourth quarter of 2024.

These excellent ratings position the Army as one of the top-performing government agencies among the 30 surveyed by OCTA Research this quarter.

The Army remains one of the Philippines’ most respected and trusted national government agencies.

In the nationwide Tugon ng Masa survey, Filipinos expressed satisfaction with the Philippine Army’s performance in national security.

The percentage of respondents willing to fight alongside the Philippine Army to defend the country against foreign aggression increased to 82%, compared to 77% in the previous survey.

Artillery personnel fire the ATMOS 155mm self-propelled howitzer in a training exercise which is aimed at enhancing the Army’s territorial defense posture.⁩⁩

The Army’s efforts in addressing internal security threats, such as communist and local terrorist groups, to achieve stable internal peace and security have increased its public engagement and relevance, contributing to national economic and developmental growth.

These data reflect that Filipinos can unite and achieve national resilience with the right approach to overcoming current and future challenges.

Army Commanding General Lt. Gen. Roy M. Galido expressed his appreciation for the public’s continued support and trust in the Army’s ability to serve and secure the nation.

The Army Chief also encouraged troops to use the survey results as inspiration to improve their service and continue fulfilling their missions to the best of their abilities.
