Motorcyclist Dies in Crash with Jeepney

A motorcycle driver died after colliding with a passenger jeepney in Brgy. Poblacion, New Lucena, Iloilo.

The motorcycle driver was identified as Ark Lumano Pisalbon, 37 years old, married, and a resident of Brgy. Castellano, Calatrava, Negros Occidental, while the jeepney driver was Leonard Cornita Alberto, 42 years old, a resident of San Leonardo (Cabarroguis), Aglipay, Quirino.

In an interview with Bombo Radyo, PCpl. Greg Gonce, investigator of the New Lucena Municipal Police Station, stated that the jeepney turned left to go to the terminal when the motorcycle, which witnesses said was speeding, suddenly collided with it.

The victim sustained injuries to various parts of his body and a fatal head injury that caused his death.

According to the police, the jeepney driver and the motorcycle driver’s family reached a settlement, and there are no plans to file a case.
