PNP deploys 40,000 officers nationwide for Christmas Rush

PHILIPPINE National Police (PNP) announced on Friday that it has deployed around 40,000 officers across the country to ensure safety and security during the busy Christmas travel season.

According to PNP spokesperson Police Brigadier General Jean Fajardo, the deployment covers bus terminals, seaports, airports, and places of worship.

“We have added personnel, bringing the total to nearly 40,000 deployed nationwide,” Fajardo said in an interview with one reliable media source.

She emphasized the coordination between the police and terminal management to maintain visibility and presence throughout the holiday period.

Fajardo reported that no major incidents have been recorded so far and urged travelers to approach police assistance desks if they encounter any issues.

She also highlighted the support of agencies like the Bureau of Fire Protection and the Armed Forces of the Philippines in augmenting security efforts during the extended holiday season.

The PNP reminded the public to save the contact details of nearby police stations for emergencies.

Travelers using public transportation were advised to keep their belongings secure and ensure the safety of young children.

Motorists were also urged to check their vehicles’ condition before travel and to avoid driving under the influence to prevent accidents.
