Mayor of Pandi, Bulacan, and two others arrested in Rape Case

MANILA — Pandi, Bulacan Mayor Enrico Roque, along with Councilor JonJon Roxas and another individual, was arrested on Tuesday night following a rape complaint, police confirmed Wednesday.

A tracker team served the arrest warrant, according to Metro Manila police chief PBGen Anthony Aberin. “This operation underscores that no one is above the law.

The NCRPO remains committed to pursuing justice without fear or favor, ensuring accountability,” Aberin stated.

Roque’s camp denied the allegations, calling them “fabricated” and “politically motivated.” The mayor has filed a motion to nullify the arrest warrant and the charges against him.
