Woman Stabbed by Rejected Senior Citizen Suitor

A woman was violently stabbed by a senior citizen after rejecting his romantic advances in Barangay Quiazan Florete, Batad, Iloilo.

The victim, identified as 40-year-old Cerlita Abayon, and the suspect, 67-year-old Danilo de los Angeles, are both married and residents of the same community.

According to Police Lt. Col. Arnel Solis, spokesperson for Police Regional Office 6, the suspect began courting the victim despite both being married.

When the victim rejected his advances, tensions arose between them, escalating into a confrontation.

The suspect reportedly approached the victim to talk but stabbed her after she raised her voice during the encounter.

The victim sustained multiple injuries and was immediately rushed to the hospital for treatment.

Meanwhile, the suspect was released as the victim’s family has yet to decide whether to file charges against him.
