A major traffic jam occurred in Brgy. Balete, Diadi, Nueva Vizcaya, following an accident involving a wing van and a pickup truck.
According to PMaj. Novalyn Aggasid, spokesperson for the Nueva Vizcaya Police Provincial Office, both vehicles were traveling along the national highway when the incident happened.
The wing van was heading north, while the pickup truck was moving in the opposite direction.
The wing van reportedly lost control on a downhill section of the road, resulting in brake failure and causing it to tip over onto the oncoming pickup truck.
Fortunately, no injuries were reported as only the cargo bed of the pickup truck was damaged.
The vehicles involved have been removed from the road, but traffic in the area remains heavy due to ongoing road construction, with delays lasting up to an hour.
Authorities are awaiting discussions between the parties involved to resolve the matter.
