Backhoe Operator Killed in Machete Attack

A backhoe operator was killed in a machete attack following a dispute in Barangay Digumased, Dinapigue, Isabela.

Police Lieutenant Jeffrey Salmasan of the Dinapigue Police Station identified the victim as Christian John Sedon, a resident of Gamu, Isabela.

The incident occurred at dawn when Sedon and his companions visited an eatery and got into a fistfight with the owner’s group.

Sedon and his group attempted to flee, but the suspect and an accomplice caught up and attacked him with a machete, targeting his head and body.

Witnesses claimed the altercation stemmed from one of Sedon’s companions bringing a firearm into the eatery.
Sedon was rushed to the hospital but succumbed to his injuries a few hours later.

The Dinapigue Police Station apprehended the two suspects, who now face homicide charges.
