Investigations revealed that the suspect and his wife had a heated argument over allegations of infidelity, prompting the wife to leave their home in Barangay Bagacay, Dumaguete City, and relocate to Barangay Buntis with their daughters.

The wife had secured a Barangay Protection Order (BPO) prior to the incident, following physical abuse from the suspect.

At around 10 a.m. Thursday, the suspect visited their residence in Barangay Buntis and requested to take their daughters, aged 5 and 3, but his request was denied.

The suspect then drew a 9mm caliber handgun, shooting the 3-year-old daughter first, followed by the 5-year-old, before turning the gun on himself.
