Barangay Captain and Husband Shot Dead by Riding-in-Tandem

A barangay captain and her husband were fatally shot by riding-in-tandem suspects in Brgy. Tinocuan, Dueñas, Iloilo.

The victims were identified as Michelle Lamela, 47, barangay captain of Brgy. Sto. Niño, and her husband, Rodney Lamela, 48.

The couple was riding a motorcycle when they were ambushed and shot by the suspects on a separate motorcycle.

Reports indicate the couple had just left their home when they were attacked upon reaching Brgy. Tinocuan.

Both victims sustained fatal gunshot wounds to the head.

Witnesses heard approximately five gunshots during the incident, suggesting multiple shots were fired at the victims.
