Bersamin emphasized that the Office of the President had no involvement in the filing of the impeachment complaint, as President Marcos had clearly expressed his opposition to pursuing the case, stating that it would be a waste of time better spent on more meaningful matters.

He also stressed that the impeachment complaint was not politically motivated and that it had the support of the government.

Bersamin further assured that the House of Representatives would ensure the process is properly followed.

The Executive Secretary added that the Office of the President would not provide further comment as the President’s stance on the matter is already clear.
