The committee sought the PSA’s assistance to verify the authenticity of the name appearing in acknowledgment receipts tied to Vice President Sara Duterte’s confidential funds.

According to a certification issued by National Statistician Claire Dennis Mapa, the name does not exist in records of live birth, marriage, or death.

The PSA clarified that additional details, such as the names of Piattos’ parents, could allow further searches for possible related records.

“Mary Grace Piattos” was listed on acknowledgment receipts linked to confidential fund expenditures of the Office of the Vice President, which were questioned in a congressional hearing.
