President Marcos Declares December 2 as Special Non-Working Holiday

President Ferdinand Marcos Jr. has declared Monday, December 2, as a special non-working day in Bonifacio, Misamis Occidental, to celebrate the annual Kutsitsa Festival.

In Proclamation No. 754, signed by Executive Secretary Lucas Bersamin, the holiday provides an opportunity for the residents of Bonifacio to join in the festivities.

The Kutsitsa Festival marks the town’s charter anniversary and features activities such as a kutsinta-making contest, street dancing, food festivals, and beauty pageants.

The festival also boosts tourism in Bonifacio and offers opportunities for local entrepreneurs to showcase their products.

Moreover, the event highlights unity among the residents of Bonifacio, as they come together to celebrate their community spirit.
