Although the three were pronounced dead on the scene, Maquindang’s partner, Matthew Montebello, was shot and died later in the hospital.

After officers arrived at the house about 1 a.m. on Saturday, firemen were sent to put out a fire.

No arrests have been made, and no information about the fire’s reasons or cause has been made public.

Asa-Ac additionally acted as the legal guardian for two younger siblings who were present at the time of the tragedy.

The Maquindang family has set up a GoFundMe page to help cover bills and care for the remaining siblings.

They described the crime as a “senseless act of gun violence.”

“The loss is overwhelming, and the pain of their absence is something we are struggling to bear every day,” the victims’ families stated.

They said that, while the surviving siblings were unharmed by the incident, “the emotional and psychological toll on them is immeasurable.”#
