In an interview with Bombo Radyo, Dumrique emphasized that being honest is part of his duty and he does not expect any reward.

The bag had been unattended for nearly 30 minutes, prompting Dumrique to ask around for its owner without success.

Netizens praised Dumrique, saying he should serve as a role model for fellow frontliners.

His detachment commander, Mark Egipto, commended Dumrique’s integrity and announced plans to submit an incident report for official recognition.
