Mendoza emphasized that Sorsogon’s commitment to aid Catanduanes has been consistent, citing their similar response during Typhoon Rolly, which struck Catanduanes in November 2020.

Earlier, in a separate interview with Bombo Radyo Legazpi, Catanduanes Governor Boboy Cua mentioned that the province needs substantial assistance to accelerate the recovery of residents affected by the storm.
