Thousands of Blood Donors Join Dugong Bombo 2024 Despite Super Typhoon Pepito Threat

Thousands of blood donors came together for Dugong Bombo 2024: A Little Pain, A Life to Gain, showing the power of community and volunteerism.

Bombo Radyo Philippines organized the nationwide simultaneous bloodletting event, collecting nearly 2 million cc, equivalent to almost 2,000 liters or roughly 524 gallons.

Over 4,400 donors from across the country participated, demonstrating the Filipino spirit of bayanihan.

The event was held in partnership with Bombo Radyo Philippines Foundation Inc. and the Philippine Red Cross, addressing critical blood supply needs in local banks.

Despite the looming threat of Super Typhoon Pepito and a reported bomb threat, the activity continued, highlighting the dedication and resilience of volunteers, organizers, and partner organizations.

The massive support reflects public trust in Bombo Radyo Philippines and the impact of its initiatives.

The organization expressed sincere gratitude to all blood donors, whether successful or not, and to sponsors whose contributions were instrumental in the event’s success.

Bombo Radyo reiterated its mantra, “In Dugong Bombo, a little pain, a life to gain.”
