Philippine, Australian Armies Enhance Regional Stability Through Exercise Kasangga

FORT BONIFACIO, Taguig City – The Philippine Army and the Australian Army have fortified their interoperability following the conclusion of Exercise Kasangga, marked by a closing ceremony at Camp Elias Angeles in Pili, Camarines Sur, on November 8, 2024.

Maj. Gen. Leodevic B. Guinid, the Acting Army Chief and Guest of Honor, praised the nearly 300 participants from both armies for their commitment and active participation in skill-sharing and training.

Brigadier Douglas Pashley, Commander of the Australian Army’s 1st Combat Brigade, emphasized the value of the exercise, noting the enhanced cooperation and mutual learning achieved between the forces.

Throughout the month-long training, Filipino and Australian ground troops engaged in various warfighting operations and exchanged Civil-Military Operations (CMO) techniques.
