Father and Son Die from Electrocution Incident in Himamaylan City

A father and son died from electrocution on the night of November 9 in Purok 6, Barangay Nabalian, Himamaylan City, Negros Occidental.

The victims were identified as Salvador Jr., 56, a laborer, and his son, Salvador III, 25, both residents of the area.

According to Police Lt. Col. Anthony Grande, Himamaylan City Police Chief, they received a call at around 7:20 PM from a police personnel reporting an electrocution incident in the area.

The victims were immediately brought to Governor Valeriano M. Gatuslao Hospital but were declared dead on arrival.

Witness Reniel stated that around 6:00 PM, he saw Salvador III lying motionless on the ground while walking home and immediately informed the victim’s family.

Salvador Jr., upon hearing the news, rushed to the scene but accidentally touched the live electrical wire, causing him to be electrocuted and fall.

Both victims were transported to the hospital but could not be revived.

Investigation revealed that Salvador III had accidentally come into contact with the live wire while carrying a container of water, leading to the electrocution.
