Philippine and Australian Armies Near Completion of Exercise Kasangga War Drills

As Exercise Kasangga enters its final stretch, troops from the Philippine Army’s 9th Infantry “Spear” Division and the Australian Army conducted advanced joint warfighting exercises at Camp Elias Angeles, Pili, Camarines Sur, on October 30, 2024.

The Filipino and Australian soldiers participated in Urban Operations, Tactical Combat Casualty Care (TC3), and Mortar Gunnery drills, focusing on precision, quick decision-making, and effective teamwork in simulated combat scenarios.

This inaugural joint exercise in the Bicol Region includes a combined force of 266 soldiers, with 216 from the Philippine Army and 50 from the Australian Army, and is set to conclude on November 8, 2024.
