“I’m 72—it has to stop at some stage,” he tells People.

Neeson says that his longtime stunt double Mark Vanselow cannot always fill in for him.

“You can’t fool audiences. I don’t want Mark to be fighting my fight scenes for me.”

Neeson has yet to announce his final action film, but he hints at the possibility of a final bow next year.

According to reports, the actor recently wrapped filming the reboot of “The Naked Gun”, a crime comedy franchise that starred the late Leslie Nielsen. This subtly confirms that Liam is not completely retiring from the industry.

Neeson is best known for his roles in the Taken franchise, “Star Wars: Episode I—The Phantom Menace”, “Retribution”, and “Schindler’s List”. The latter project earned him an Academy Award nomination for Best Actor.
