A 36-year-old man was killed after his kolong-kolong collided with an elf truck in Peñablanca, Cagayan.
The victim, identified only as “Khan,” was married and a resident of Brgy. Centro Sur, Alcala.
According to PCapt. Leaf Bernard Guya, deputy chief of the PNP-Peñablanca, the kolong-kolong lost control after its tire hit a rock on a curved uphill road in Brgy. Quibal.
As a result, the vehicle veered into the opposite lane, causing the victim to hit his head on farm machinery loaded on the elf truck, driven by a man identified only as “Mike,” 32, from Brgy. San Francisco, Baggao.
The victim sustained severe head injuries and was declared dead on arrival at the hospital.
It was reported that the elf truck was headed to Baggao, while the kolong-kolong driver was on his way to deliver supplies for his newly opened pansiteria business.
