Five killed in Turkish aerospace company terror attack

Five people have been killed while 22 have been injured after a terrorist attack on a Turkish aerospace company in Ankara, Turkey.

The attack happened at the Turkish Aerospace Industries (TUSAS) headquarters located on the outskirts of Ankara.

According to Turkish Vice President Cevdet Yılma, the victims were four TUSAS employees and a taxi driver who drove the attackers to the location.

Meanwhile, two attackers, a man and a woman, were also killed.

Interior Minister Ali Yerlikaya said the said attack was perpetrated by the Kurdistan Worker’s Party (PKK).

The said group is classified as a terrorist organization by Turkey, the European Union, and the United States. It was formed in the 1970s when they fought against the Turkish government and called for an independent state.

Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan condemned the said incident and assured that those behind the attack will be held accountable.
