Man Killed in Brutal Hacking Incident in Polomolok, South Cotabato

A man was killed after being repeatedly hacked in Purok Masipag, Brgy. Lumakil, Polomolok, South Cotabato.

The victim was identified as Ricardo Panayas, 37, an employee of AMCOOP and a resident of the same town.

The suspects were identified as “Justine,” 23, and “Fesio,” 48, both also residents of the area.

According to the investigation by Polomolok PNP, the victim was on his way home from work when the two suspects stopped him and attacked him with a bolo knife.

Panayas sustained multiple wounds across different parts of his body and was immediately rushed to Polomolok General Hospital but was declared dead on arrival.

It was learned that the victim and the suspects had previously quarreled over work-related issues.

The Polomolok PNP has launched a hot pursuit operation to apprehend the suspects, who fled in an unknown direction.
