PRESIDENT Ferdinand “Bongbong” Marcos Jr. expressed delight on Friday over what appears to be a “political reconciliation” with him and former Vice President Leni Robredo.

With his remarks at the signing of the ARAL Law, Marcos acknowledged Senate President Francis “Chiz” Escudero and expressed satisfaction with what the latter accomplished.

“Senate President Chiz Escudero, who has taken a very important step towards political reconciliation yesterday.” Marcos smiled and remarked, “I’m so glad you did that.”

Escudero invited Robredo to meet the President at the Sorsogon Sports Arena’s opening ceremony.

The two, who were opponents in the 2016 and 2022 elections, met and quickly shook hands before the event began.
