President Marcos Thanks Israeli President for Ensuring Safety of Filipinos Amid Conflict

President Ferdinand Marcos Jr. expressed his gratitude to Israeli President Isaac Herzog for ensuring the safety of Filipinos residing in Israel.

The president conveyed his appreciation during a phone conversation between the two leaders held at Malacañang Palace.

President Marcos emphasized that Israel remains one of the Philippines’ most trusted bilateral partners in the Middle East.

Despite the heightened tension in Israel due to ongoing conflicts with Hezbollah and Hamas, the president noted that Israel is committed to keeping Filipinos safe.

It is noteworthy that the Philippines was among the nations that voted in favor of the United Nations General Assembly resolution calling for a ceasefire in Gaza to allow humanitarian aid and assist those affected by the conflict.
