Philippine Navy Joins Air Defense Simulation with U.S., Japan, Australia, Canada, and France

The Philippine Navy participated in Air Defense Exercises (ADEX) alongside the navies of the U.S., Japan, Australia, Canada, and France.

The exercises were part of the “Samasama Exercise 2024,” specifically under the Sea Phase, which was scheduled for the eighth and ninth days of joint naval training.

The navy personnel conducted tracking and monitoring operations against aerial threats, including Unmanned Aerial Systems.

They also carried out Surface Warfare Exercises, testing each navy’s ability to respond to long-range threats using various weapon systems.

According to the Philippine Navy, the execution of the drills between the six navies was successful.

These simulations were conducted in the waters off Northern Luzon.
