Policeman Dies in Head-On Collision with Dump Truck

A policeman was killed in a tragic road accident after his vehicle collided head-on with a dump truck along the national highway in Purok 2, Barangay Glamang, Polomolok, South Cotabato, on Wednesday afternoon, October 16, 2024.

The Polomolok Police identified the victim as Patrolman Fahad Asmi Masula, 25 years old, a resident of Barangay Cacub, Koronadal City.

He was assigned to the Regional Mobile Force Battalion (RMFB) 12.

According to the police investigation, Patrolman Masula was driving toward General Santos City when his vehicle collided with a dump truck driven by Ronnie Anggot Torino, who was traveling in the opposite direction towards Koronadal City.

Due to the strong impact, Patrolman Masula was trapped in the driver’s seat, making it difficult for rescuers to extricate him.

Authorities are continuing their investigation into the fatal accident.
