Several areas in Cordon and Sitio Isla Verde, Brgy. Gen. Aguinaldo, Ramon, experienced an emergency power shutdown after an Army trailer truck collided with a power pole in Barangay Malapat, Cordon, Isabela.

PSSgt. Sherwin Rivera of the Cordon Police Station confirmed in an interview with Bombo Radyo Cauayan that the accident occurred at around 1 p.m., reported by a concerned citizen.

Responding officers discovered that a Philippine Army trailer truck, carrying two tanks, had crashed into a power pole owned by ISELCO 1.

The accident was attributed to a miscalculation, especially with the road under construction in Barangay Malapat, Cordon, Isabela.

Rivera added that the incident only caused minor traffic disruption, as the truck was quickly removed from the area.

The truck driver explained that he did not anticipate hitting the power pole, as this was not the first time they had passed through the route.
