Fruit Vendor Shot Dead in Davao City, Suspect on the Run

Authorities are conducting a dragnet operation to locate the suspect responsible for the fatal shooting of a female fruit vendor in Central Park Road, Bangkal, Barangay Talomo, Davao City, yesterday afternoon.

According to the Davao City Police Office, the victim has been identified as 31-year-old Joan, a local fruit vendor.

The suspect has been identified as Moraly, another vendor from the same area.

Reports indicate that the suspect suddenly arrived on a motorcycle and shot the victim in the neck while she was seated at her fruit stand.

Joan was rushed to the hospital but was declared dead on arrival.

Police believe that a business dispute between the two vendors was the motive behind the crime.
