Jealousy is being considered as one of the possible motives in the fatal shooting by a soldier of his wife, mother-in-law, and their driver inside the 5th Infantry Division of the Philippine Army in Gamu, Isabela.
The suspect, identified as Sgt. Mark Angelo Ajel, allegedly shot Rolando Amaba, Erlinda Ajel, and Lolita Ramos while they were inside a van within the military camp.
According to Gamu Police Chief PMaj. Louie Jay Felipe in an interview with Bombo Radyo Cauayan, relatives of the victims mentioned that the suspect was reportedly jealous of his wife’s job, which involved delivering fruits and vegetables to different locations.
Authorities have not been able to get a statement from Ajel, as he is currently not communicating properly.
Charges of parricide and two counts of murder are being prepared against the suspect.
