Big Boss of Lucky South 99 POGO, Lyu Dong, Arrested by PAOCC

Authorities have arrested the alleged leader of Lucky South 99, a Philippine Offshore Gaming Operator (POGO) based in Porac, Pampanga.

According to Presidential Anti-Organized Crime Commission (PAOCC) spokesperson Winston Casio, Lyu Dong, also known by the aliases “Boss Boga,” “Boss Apao,” and “Boss Bahaw,” was apprehended in a residential subdivision in Laguna on Thursday night.

Lyu Dong’s arrest was carried out following a warrant of arrest and mission order after being linked to various crimes involving the POGO in Porac.

After the issuance of the arrest warrant, authorities closely monitored Lyu Dong’s movements and seized the opportunity when he attended a gathering.

He was immediately brought to the PAOCC detention facility in Pasay City for inquest procedures.

The Bureau of Immigration will also investigate the foreign nationals who were with Lyu Dong at the time of his arrest.

The PAOCC views Lyu Dong’s arrest as a significant step toward dismantling POGO hubs in the country.
