The family, the Philippine Nurses Association, and others are mourning the death of a Filipina nurse in Abu Dhabi due to a vehicular accident.

The Philippine Embassy in Abu Dhabi confirmed the death of Reyna Jane Lucero Donelo, 32, who hailed from Nueva Vizcaya.

According to Filipino diplomats in the area, the Migrant Workers Office (MWO), in coordination with the Department of Migrant Workers (DMW), is handling the case.

Investigations revealed that Donelo last reported for work on Saturday, October 5, before the accident occurred early morning of October 6.

The 32-year-old nurse had arrived in the United Arab Emirates in August of this year and had begun working for Al Raiaa Home Health Care.

Her husband is expected to travel to the UAE in the coming week.

Donelo is survived by two children—a 12-year-old son and a 7-year-old daughter.

The grieving family is requesting the repatriation of her remains to the Philippines and seeking justice.
