Fisherman Dies After Accidentally Swallowing Live Fish

A 23-year-old fisherman from Cebu tragically died after accidentally swallowing a live fish.

According to his live-in partner, who was with him during the fishing trip, the incident occurred as they were pulling in their net.

The victim grabbed one of the caught fish and bit its head.

Unexpectedly, the fish slipped into his mouth and became lodged in his throat.

The fish blocked his airway, causing him to suffocate.

Authorities are yet to determine the size of the fish that caused the fatal blockage, as the victim’s throat was severely obstructed.
